Assorted Christmas Cards

Christmas seems so long ago now but I thought I would share a few of the cards I made.  All combine stamping and spellbinders.  I have incorporated parchment which I think enhances the beauty of the poinsettia and combined textures in the baubles for added interest. There is collage stamping in the background to the reindeer.

Dragonfly Card

I love this beautiful dragonfly stamp and it really doesn’t need a lot doing to it to make it look gorgeous. In this card I have simply stamped it in black ink and randomly chalked over in shades of pink, purple and green, highlighting the leaves and dragonflies with promarkers in coordinating shades. A simple spellbinders border and a piece of ribbon to finish.

Purple Butterfly Card

A simple but effective design. Start by stamp and embossing the butterfly (creative expressions) using a variegated purple ink pad and clear embossing powder.  Working around the masked off butterfly, stamp rose heads and collage stamping a background using further text and flourish stamps.  Stamp and emboss the butterfly onto three shades of vellum and layer. Finish with sparkles in a flourish and layer onto coordinating card.
