All the harlequin!

Hello

This card is a variation of a previous post – Daffodils and Ferns.

To make the main image I did the exact same thing – I covered a piece of card with acrylic paint and used the same colour paint mixed with texture paste and applied through the mask.

This card however, I layered differently and kept it quite simple.

I used the same Harlequin paper together with a yellow layer which I ran through a Harlequin embossing folder.

I also edged each layer with black to add definition.

Perfect for the men in our lives.

Turquoise Daisies

Hello

I seem to go through phases and turquoise seems to be my current trend and my go to colour when in doubt.

For this card, I used a lovely Daisy card from Hobby Art.

I stamped in black ink onto a background I had created using watercolour paint in greens and blues.

I coloured the daisies in white so that they would stand out from the background.

A lovely co-ordinated paperstock makes the perfect background.

I cut some various Sizzix die cut flowers in shades of turquoise and a white flourish to finish the card.

Daffodils and Ferns

Hello

I have another quick card today using a mask.

I started with a piece of card that I had painted with green and yellow acrylic paint.

I then used the same green paint mixed with some texture paste through the mask.

I added a strip of co-ordinating harlequin paper and 2 yellow diecuts and then the final addition of 3 paper daffodils I had made using a die and patterned paper.

A little different.

I hope you like it.

A Daisy Field in Turquoise

Hello

I have a card today which uses one of my favourite Daisy stamps from the wonderful Hobby Art.

I started by stamping in each of the corners. I masked the original images and stamped either side to fill the corner. I coloured using watercolour pencils which give a really subtle effect.

To complete the card, I added some co-ordinated layers of cardstock – one plain and one a colourful dotty pattern.

Finally, I added some embellishments picking out the turquoise colouring from the daisies – some daisies and corners.

I hope you like it.
