Spring “Crazy Paved” Twinchies

I have some twinchies to share today after having a ‘desperate’ need to do something creative.

I used a technique which I haven’t for some time which I like to think I made up and named ‘Crazy Paved Stamping’.  I do not know of a proper technique but please let me know if you have seen something similar.

For my technique I used a lovely Hobby Art stamp of a daffodil, which I am particularly fond of.

I stamped the image onto 3 different colours of card and coloured the images using my trusty pencils.  I then cut the images up completely randomly and pieced back together again forming a crazy paved pattern. I do a similar technique where I piece the odd pieces back to form the original image for a different look.  Please visit this post for more ideas

I then added a little punched butterfly. I added glitter to 2 of them.

I hope you like them.

Butterfly die cut Twinchies

I have some quick Twinchies to share today using my favourite colour and favourite theme….sorry.

I was really pleased with the background so took a picture before I covered it up.

I hope you like them.  It’s been a while since I made some twinchies and I really enjoyed doing these and really want to make some more now.

Thanks for visiting.

Have a good day!

Reminded of 1st ATC Swap I did

I was recently sorting some photos on my computer into some kind of order when I found a photo of the 1st ATC swap I entered into, which was quite some time ago now and I thought I would share.

The theme was floral and I used a lovely stamp from Hobby Art.  Obviously I created it in a purple theme and used an Aubergine Ink pad from Stampin Up.

The crochet flower I made myself using a variegated thread.

I really love making ATC’s, they are just enough to task the brain sometimes when a bit of creativity is required.

I hope you like it.

Autumn Leaves are Falling Down

I have another autumnal card to share today.

For my tile card, I started by cutting 12 pieces of card, each 2 inch square (twinchie size), from 4 different shades of green.  I then used some Spellbinder leaf dies on each square cutting theshape over the edge to leave the negative shape.

I cut a further 12 tiles and painted with shades of green acrylic paint, leaving lots of paint strokes for added texture and interest.  I mounted my tiles together using 3D foam tape to add height and arranged them into a grid, then mounted all of them onto a piece of card and patterned paper.

I painted the chipboard letters to co-ordinate and arranged them onto my grid with skeleton leaves.

Thanks for visiting.

See you again soon.
