Hello
I have a quick card to share today with a butterfly on unsurprisingly….sorry!
I started with a print using a spellbinder die which I then cut using a label shape.
I added a few matts and flourish dies together with my butterfly…of course and the card is finished.
A quick and simple card but bright and jolly I think.
Thanks for visiting my little blog today.

Hello
I have another card on the same theme as http://wp.me/p385yc-qg but this time in pink & purple.
I started with stamping the butterflies in purple ink and colourised the background with pink and purple pastels.
I used a Sue Wilson die to cut out a border but did not use the outside edge so the die stayed in the stamping. I used an XCut die for the letters which I arranged on a length of ribbon.
A little matting and layering and the addition of a purple butterfly … of course! and the card is finished.
I hope you like it.

Hello
I have a card to share today using a selection of stamps from my collection. The focal butterfly stamp and corner stamp are both from Chocolate Baroque.
I love collage stamping, mainly because it reduces the need to select and choose, but unfortunately a lot of the time the stamping will be hidden in the background.
I therefore like this style of triple stamping card because the background remains visible.
I used a brown inkpad for the background stamping, gold embossing powder for the butterfly and gilding flakes for the corners.
I hope you like it.
Thanks for visiting.

Hello
Right. Normal service is resumed following birthday celebrations and today I have a quick card to share which I am really sorry includes butterflies and purple. Oh what the hec, no I’m not sorry I love them.
I started with my background and stamped 2 butterflies in black ink and masked. I then stamped in purple ink a Bird of Paradise stamp, a flourish and a text stamp. I chalked over the whole background and coloured the butterflies in using coloured pencils.
I then layered my background onto a co-ordinated colour cardstock and stamped the text stamp and elements of the flourish in black ink.
The finishing touch, as always is to add a 3D butterfly with wire antennae (or in this case add 4)
I hope you like it.
See you again soon

Hello
Isn’t it lovely to have a little sun for the Easter holidays.
Today I have another butterfly card to share, using the lovely Chocolate Baroque stamps.
I started with a background painted in 3 shades of acrylic paint.
I stamped the main focal image in black embossing powder and used clear embossing powder for the images around the edge.
I lastly added some butterflies using gilding flakes.
Thanks for visiting. Hope to see you again soon.

Hello
I have some more Twinchies today, which is always a nice way to start a week.
I really had fun with these, all using the same Butterfly stamp in 3 colourways.
The first trio is simply stamped and coloured in using pencils. Then using embossing folders I have inked in a corresponding colour to accent the embossing and then flattened again to bring the stamping back as the focal image.
The others are stamped using watercolours; one onto dry and one onto wet. Great effects and fun to do. I then overstamped in black ink once dry.
I love these and I hope you do too.
See you again with something else.
