Blue Butterfly Dance

Hello

I was tidying up some photos and found these which I don’t think I have ever shared.

It was at the same time I did a guest post at Chocolate Baroque and I did this as an alternative colour option but I opted for the pink version to be found here if you missed it http://wp.me/p385yc-lW. However, looking back at it, I do like this colour scheme.

I have used my very much loved technique of collage embossing folder on the background layer.

Pink Butterflies

Hello

I really enjoyed making my ATC at the weekend in bright colours and it inspired me to continue the pink theme with some stamping.

WP_20150214_013

I regularly fall back on a combination of pink and yellow but I tried to make this one bright and invigorating.

I used stamps from Chocolate Baroque and a Sizzix die.

Butterflies in Blue

Hello

I hope you are having a lovely Bank Holiday, we have rain here so I am very happy to be tucked up inside.  I have just enough time to share a card I have made.

WP_20140825_007

I started by stamping a selection of butterflies from Chocolate Baroque and filled in the gaps using a section of a text stamp.  I stamped in Versamark and used pastels in blues and greens.

WP_20140825_012

I then cut some butterflies using a Spellbinders die and letters from an XCut die.

I used Sue Wilsons background die and cut into sections to sit behind the various layers.

I hope you like it.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Collaged Triple Stamping

Hello

I have a card to share today using a selection of stamps from my collection.  The focal butterfly stamp and corner stamp are both from Chocolate Baroque.

I love collage stamping, mainly because it reduces the need to select and choose, but unfortunately a lot of the time the stamping will be hidden in the background.

WP_20140710_007

I therefore like this style of triple stamping card because the background remains visible.

WP_20140710_011

I used a brown inkpad for the background stamping, gold embossing powder for the butterfly and gilding flakes for the corners.

I hope you like it.

Peach Floral Butterfly

Hello

I have a card to share today featuring another Chocolate Baroque stamp, which I have simply coloured with pencils.  I ripped the edge and applied ink to age it.

WP_20140520_002

I made a selection of handmade flowers using some dies and scattered around the stamped design. Again I inked the edges to age them.

Lastly, I added a couple of extra diecuts in a darker colour, together with a couple of matt layers and the card is finished.

Butterfly Dance

Hello

Thank you for visiting today.

I am soooo excited to be featuring today on the Chocolate Baroque Design Team Blog with this card I made using the Butterfly Daisy Collage and Butterfly Poppy Collage stamp sheets.

WP_20140410_003

I started by colouring a piece of white card using chalks.  I then stamped 3 butterflies in black ink and coloured with pencils.  In the background I stamped a smaller butterfly in a co-ordinating coloured ink and using clear embossing ink and clear embossing powder I stamped sections of the harlequin and text stamp.  I finally added 2 matts of co-ordinating stock together with 2 black matts and the card is finished.

I hope you like it.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting my little crafty world.

Poppy Collage

Hello

I have another card to share today which features a stamp from the Butterfly Poppy Collage stamp sheet from Chocolate Baroque.

WP_20140408_016

I stamped the Poppy stamp with gold embossing powder and stamped various other stamps from my stash in brown ink in the background.  I added a little colour using chalks and added 3D Clear Gloss Finish to the Poppies.

WP_20140408_019

For the background I embossed some patterned paper using an embossing folder and stamped 2 corners in Gilding Flakes.

The final addition of a Spellbinders diecut and a coordinating brown base layer and my card is finished.

Thanks for stopping by and as always, more to come soon, so please come visit again.
