Burgundy Poinsettia Merry Christmas

Hello

I have a large card today which I spent a little more time over.

I used the same mask stamping technique which has appeared in some previous posts but this time I made it larger.

I stamped the poinsettias first and embossed with red tinsel embossing powder. Once masked, I stamped a very fancy flourish and a Merry Christmas text stamp to fill the spaces.

I mounted my stamping onto a burgundy cardstock and made poinsettias using the same cardstock with a Spellbinders die.

I hope you like it.  This card is for someone very special.

Poinsettia Wreath

Hello

I love this poinsettia stamp and even though it was one of the very first stamps I bought I still don’t get bored of using it. I have removed it from its wooden block which I think makes it both much easier to stamp and to store.

I stamped in the North, South, East and West positions, masked and stamped in all the gaps.

I cut some mini Poinsettias and created a further layer on my wreath.

I hope you like it.

Frosty Poinsettia Card

Hello

I love Poinsettias and Holly at Christmas so automatically used those images for this card.

I stamped my poinsettia onto a postcard and masked the image, before filling all the space with further Christmas images.

I then cut some Spellbinder Poinsettias out of some burgundy fabric and inked the edges with silver ink.

Another card done. Christmas prep is making some headway at last.

Happy Holidays

Hello

I have the first Christmas card to share today.  I have kept it CAS just using Sizzix and Spellbinders dies and embossing folders.

WP_20150924_15_38_50_Pro

I started with the Happy Holidays greeting which is from a Sizzix embossing folder with matching die.  I used a Sharpie to colour the embossed section and inked the remainder.

I layered the greeting onto co-ordinated Christmas cardstock and to finish, shadowed the Spellbinders Fleur-de-Lis to frame the greeting.

I hope you like it.

A sash of poinsettia

I love Poinsettias; they are always so bright and jolly.

I also love this Poinsettia stamp and it always gets used every Christmas.  This year I have stamped and coloured it like this…..

A little ribbon and some Holly die-cuts and the card is finished.

All for now. Much Christmas preparation still to do.
