Poinsettia Wreath

I love this poinsettia stamp and even though it was one of the very first stamps I bought I still don’t get bored of using it. I have removed it from its wooden block which I think makes it both much easier to stamp and to store.

I stamped in the North, South, East and West positions, masked and stamped in all the gaps.

I cut some mini Poinsettias and created a further layer on my wreath.

I hope you like it.

Frosty Poinsettia Card

I love Poinsettias and Holly at Christmas so automatically used those images for this card.

I stamped my poinsettia onto a postcard and masked the image, before filling all the space with further Christmas images.

I then cut some Spellbinder Poinsettias out of some burgundy fabric and inked the edges with silver ink.

Another card done. Christmas prep is making some headway at last.

Blue Christmas Panel

I have another blue Christmas card today similar to http://wp.me/p385yc-uj using the same technique to create a panel.

In brief this is what I did, if you missed it.

1. In pencil trace through “basketweave” mask.
2. Stamp mini images uniformed within the boundary of the mask.
3. Outline the pencil marks going around the images in fine pen (rub away pencil marks)
4. Shade for added depth.
5. Stamp background using large images but inking only sections for a random effect.

On this card I added Spellbinder borders and stamped a greeting in clear embossing powder.

I hope you like it. Please feel free to leave a comment.

Christmas Mini Stamp ATC Card

Here again with another Christmas card.  Here it is…

I have a large collection of stamps including rubber, acrylic and wood mounted stamps and I love collecting images but when it comes to Christmas I enjoy rummaging through my stash as they all seem so fresh albeit I’ve had many for quite some time.

Some of the earliest Christmas stamps I bought was a collection of mini wood mounted stamps which unfortunately have been overlooked as I always reach for the bigger images I have since gathered.  So, this year I thought it was time to showcase them and this card was inspired by an ATC I made last year for an ATC swap.

Like the ATC, the topper started with a selection of mini images stamped quite randomly.  I then painstakingly cut a mask for each image until each image was covered and using a lighter green ink I randomly stamped other images; a snow fall effect and a Merry Christmas text (using sections of the stamps only), until it was all covered.

I used the same lighter ink to stamp a large Holly image on the background in opposing corners.

I mounted each piece onto patterned Christmas paper to co-ordinate and the card is finished.

Traditional Holly

A traditional and simple Christmas Card today….

I adore this Holly sprig stamp and find it extremely versatile.  However, here it is in a very simple form simply stamped and coloured with watercolour pencils.  I masked the image and used a text stamp for the background.

A little embossed layer and Spellbinder Holly Motif corners and another Christmas card is finished.

See you again soon.

Take Care!

Christmas Flourish in Green

Hello again and here is today’s Christmas card.

I created a topper by stamping mini Christmas images around a Greeting stamp with a larger Holly design in the background.

I then added some Spellbinder Holly Motifs and flourish corner stamping.

I like the combination of lime green with the more traditional Christmas green for a fresher look.

Thanks for visiting, please come back again for another Christmas Card soon!
