Turquoise Daisies

I seem to go through phases and turquoise seems to be my current trend and my go to colour when in doubt.

For this card, I used a lovely Daisy card from Hobby Art.

I stamped in black ink onto a background I had created using watercolour paint in greens and blues.

I coloured the daisies in white so that they would stand out from the background.

A lovely co-ordinated paperstock makes the perfect background.

I cut some various Sizzix die cut flowers in shades of turquoise and a white flourish to finish the card.

I hope you like it.

Daffodils and Ferns

I have another quick card today using a mask.

I started with a piece of card that I had painted with green and yellow acrylic paint.

I then used the same green paint mixed with some texture paste through the mask.

I added a strip of co-ordinating harlequin paper and 2 yellow diecuts and then the final addition of 3 paper daffodils I had made using a die and patterned paper.

A little different.

I hope you like it.

Mum’s Picture

I made a picture for my Mum back in the summer using a Michael Powell stamp and lots of flower dies to create a selection of her favourite flowers.  Here is the original link  http://wp.me/p385yc-r1 if you missed it.

I was pleased that Mum was delighted with her picture and here she is posing with it in its allocated place.

My only disappointment was that I made the most amazing Tulips but they were too tall to fit in the box frame.  Oh well they are ready for the next project.

Thanks for visiting.

Flower Explosion In A Box Frame

I am delighted to share a special project I finished recently.

My Mum took a fancy to a project I did, here is the link if you missed it: http://wp.me/p385yc-lZ.  She said “put it in a frame and I’ll have that”, so after a while of looking for a frame to fit my random sized picture I decided to embark on a new project special for my Mum.

Floral Explosion In A Box

I stamped the Michael Powell image and coloured using pencils.

I then used a variety of Sizzix Susan’s Garden floral dies to make poppies, lillies, fuschias, clivias, begonias, calla lillies, anthuriums, pansies, gazanias, dahlias and gerberas.

I placed my stamped image off centre onto a piece of 12” x 12”  patterned cardstock.

Using blue cardstock I cut Spellbinders Basic Lattice and cut in half placing each piece behind the image.  I then cut a Fleur De Lis Motif to place behind the flowers.

I then arranged the flowers and added some green skeleton leaves.  Lastly, I cut a piece of cream mounting board and mounted in a box frame.

I hope you like it.
