Forgotten Parchment 3

Hello

I have just been looking through my photos and I have found these parchment bookmarks which I hadn’t previously shared, so here they are….

This one is left from a batch I made for Teacher Thank You gifts a few years ago.  I completed them with a 3D butterfly sitting on top.

All the following bookmarks are from various patterns in books, which I made when I first started parchment.

I must use them before I lose them again.

I hope you like them.

Thanks for visiting.

Forgotten Parchment Part 1

Hello

I have been having a tidy up and stumbled upon a bundle of parchment creations I have stored away ready for that “special occasion”.  Unfortunately, I think they have always fallen in the “don’t want to use, best save for something super special” category and have been totally forgotten about.

So, its jolly well time they were used and I will make them into something accordingly.

However, here are a few as they are now…

These designs no doubt will have been taken and/or adapted from various parchment magazines and books, which I loved to read when my boys were babies.  I loved to spend time doing parchment as very little was needed making it quick to get out and put away as and when time allowed.

I love how parchment looks so delicate but is surprisingly sturdy.

There are quite a few more to come which I will share another day.

Thanks for visiting.

POPPIES & BUTTERFLY IN BLUE

I used some lovely stamps from Chocolate Baroque in this card.

I started with the poppies and harlequin and stamped in black ink onto blue cardstock with the text stamp on the opposite side. I used watercolour pencils to colour the fabulous poppies and added a white highlight.

The backing paper is also using the text stamp but in blue and using the second generation of ink.  The corner stamp is using the 1st generation of the same coloured ink and is also from Chocolate Baroque. A beautiful corner which I use a LOT!

The butterfly also from the same set of stamps, I stamped onto blue parchment and embossed areas to give shape and the beautiful parchment whitework.  The body is simply various blue beads threaded onto wire which is then curled to form the antennae.

With the addition of some ribbon and some black cardstock, the card is finished!

All for now. Thanks for stopping by.

Assorted Christmas Cards

Christmas seems so long ago now but I thought I would share a few of the cards I made.  All combine stamping and spellbinders.  I have incorporated parchment which I think enhances the beauty of the poinsettia and combined textures in the baubles for added interest. There is collage stamping in the background to the reindeer.
