Cupcakes Bonanza

I have a quick share today and I love this card…mainly because I love cupcakes (or fairy cakes when I was a child) but at least this sort has fewer calories!

I love stamping in a circle and I think it looks interesting.

I always start stamping in North, South, East & West positions and then I mask the images (although in this case I didn’t need to because they wouldn’t be overlapping) and stamp in between.

I coloured the images using coloured pencils for a subtle look.

I layered an assortment of co-ordinating papers behind the main image and I added detail around the edge with a fine black pen.

Lastly I added a beautiful paper rose which I had created using a floral die from my collection.

A very happy cheery card to make you smile.

Thanks for visiting.

Holly Tiles

I have a more time-consuming card to share today but I really enjoyed making this one.

I cut some inch tiles and then stamped onto each one a different part of a holly stamp. I coloured all images using pencils.

I used the same holly stamp onto patterned cardstock and coloured the image using alcohol markers.

Unfortunately, the photo doesn’t really pick up the depth in the image, in real life I am really pleased with this card.  A little bit different.

I can’t believe how quickly December goes.

Poinsettia Wreath

I love this poinsettia stamp and even though it was one of the very first stamps I bought I still don’t get bored of using it. I have removed it from its wooden block which I think makes it both much easier to stamp and to store.

I stamped in the North, South, East and West positions, masked and stamped in all the gaps.

I cut some mini Poinsettias and created a further layer on my wreath.

I hope you like it.

Spring “Crazy Paved” Twinchies

I have some twinchies to share today after having a ‘desperate’ need to do something creative.

I used a technique which I haven’t for some time which I like to think I made up and named ‘Crazy Paved Stamping’.  I do not know of a proper technique but please let me know if you have seen something similar.

For my technique I used a lovely Hobby Art stamp of a daffodil, which I am particularly fond of.

I stamped the image onto 3 different colours of card and coloured the images using my trusty pencils.  I then cut the images up completely randomly and pieced back together again forming a crazy paved pattern. I do a similar technique where I piece the odd pieces back to form the original image for a different look.  Please visit this post for more ideas http://wp.me/p385yc-aO.

I then added a little punched butterfly. I added glitter to 2 of them.

I hope you like them.
